Just so I don't have to repeat this story a million times, here's what happened...
At about 12:15pm today, I was getting onto 85 North from Union Avenue. There are two lanes to the on-ramp and I was in the left lane, coming out of a nice little curve to the right, attempting to merge. My car slightly went into the median (where the on-ramp merges with the freeway) and my rear tires met up with some gravel and it totally spun me around. I did a full 360º turn and at one point, I was face-to-face with the car that was in the right lane of the on-ramp. Luckily, the driver of that car did some serious NASCAR evasive moves and we nearly missed each other. In the apex of my spin, the rear of my car kissed the dirt embankment on the right side of the freeway. After I came to a stop, I pulled off to the side, shut off the car, and got out to inspect the damage. My GReddy Evo 2 exhaust is bent up and touching my rear bumper, and melted it slightly. My rear bumper is scratched to hell and came unclipped from the body of the car near the passenger-side rear wheel well and is sticking out slightly. 3 of my 4 rims (gunmetallic Rota Tarmac II's, 18"x7.5") are scraped up terribly and need to be replaced, and my front passenger-side rim is bent. The car is still driveable, however due to having an obviously bent rim (my steering wheel shakes pretty bad when doing about 70mph), I probably should avoid driving it as much as possible. While pulled over, I called my insurance company and immediately filed a claim. Thankfully, I have full-coverage insurance with State Farm and I also have a great hook-up with a body shop that I know does high quality work (that body shop is also luckily one of State Farm's preffered service providers...w00t). After hanging up with the insurance company, I called the body shop and have arranged to have the car there first thing Monday morning. In the meantime, my boyfriend is going to borrow a car from a friend so he can get to the city for his finals on Monday and Tuesday, so I'll be driving his car...a slightly modded, blue '02 WRX wagon...until my car is out of the shop (which I'm hoping will only be about a week).
I'm just grateful that I didn't **** up my car too bad, I am completely unharmed, and that I didn't hit anyone else. The damage to my car could've been a million times worse, too.
Now I just have to worry about how I'm going to pull $500 out of my *** to cover the insurance deductible. Good thing I get paid on Thursday.

that is crazy! What kind of tires do you have? I have hit gravel patches at 45+MPH and it just made me slide. =\
Anyway, glad to hear your OK.
Do you race or anything? There is a kick *** car control clinic coming up in August with the gold gate chapter BMW club thats going to be at the Marina airport.
After I had my little mishap, the clinic gave me a lot of my confidence back. Still missing some but its coming back slowly.
