You guys should both go buy a copy of Hemming Motor News. It is like an inch thic catalog of all types of collector/high end cars. The cars are listed by make and model. The mad is also national, so you get a huge selection. If you're looking for something RARE, and don't want to fly all over looking into auctions, this is the way to go.
