I bought my WRX. Now, 19,000 miles later, I couldn't love the car more. It's been so great and so capable. It rescued my sister from Grass Valley during a huge snow storm (in December) while running on performance street tires, it gets me to work on days like this when wind and rain are heavy. It's got seats that selflessly hold my friends and a trunk that could carry the heaviest of loads. Buying the car got me to find this, and some other Subaru forums, and I've made some really great friends because of it.
I love my Subaru. So, on this day, write about why you love your Subaru and the BAIC community. When did you get your car and what fun, or odd experiences have you had in it?

story for you all
well, I am new to BAIC, but not to subaru's. I just got my 4th subaru on 2/13/04. I got the Baja Turbo Premium. I have owned a 83 GL sedan, 85 RX 4 door turbo sedan, 90 Legacy L Sedan (which is for sale) FWD, and now the baja. I loved each and every one and absolutly love my new baja. But for a story, I have a good one that happened to me today (2/25/04).
I was on my way home form work on Highway 9. I needed to use the restroom and was about halfway home and there is a vista point with a pit toilit there. So I stop and get out and do my business into the pit. Now that I am finished, I go and try and open the door and low and behold, it won't open. NOOOOOOOOOOOO. So I fiddle with the door and try and get it to open with a little of force, and I even tried the old credit card tricks, but no luck.
So a idea struck me, I have my keyless entry for my baja in my pocket and it has a panic feature (durring my searching for my new car, I don't think that I found another manufacture that included this with just the keyless entry. You had to get the security upgrade). I set it off and after about 10 minutes someone heard it and came to the door and had tools. He took off the pannel on the door for the vent and then kicked in the pannel on my side and got in the tool for me to take off mine. YAHAAAA, I am freeeeee
. I just wedged myself out of the vent hole (it was missing anyway. that is why the steel plates were there in the first place). I thanked they guy and we went on our merry way. All I have to say is "Thank you SOA for including the pannic button on the keyless entry. You saved my life."

Ive had my Subaru for less than 2 months, had 3200miles on it and it died on me... Defective timing belt tensioner and i ruined 15 of the 16 valves. Still had alot of fun with the car while i had it.
