not to mention, it would be DAMN hard to get an intake tube to come up at that spot of the engine bay, it would have to go under the intake manifold, and do like a u-turn 360 and up through the hood

Anyone with the air flow sensor next to the throttle body, non MAF can do this with their plastic intake hose, just pop out the hood vent and pull the hose up, its cut from factory in the perfect place. I would do that to my moms OBS wagon all the time, more responsive for sure

I have too. I saw a white Civic the other day on Yerba Buena Road in the Evergreen area. The intake was poking right out of the center of the hood near the windshield wipers.

 

I think thats referring to his state of mind.
