the light show is interesting but theres no way i could pay that much for something like that.. id rather make one

you can always open up one of those cheap HD DVD players for 360's and make a blu-ray laser, and pop balloons and light matches and cigarettes and whatnot :]

the difference between those kid ones and the ones on ultrasabers is just the ability to hard core duel with them

some odd places actually teach classes for dueling with lightsabers. and the CF ones are used on movie sets as well as lit ones to create the glow on the environment and are good markers for adding additional effects.

and don't forget using dueling sabers for LARP

plus they're super badass.
