The article says a 3g, 1sec. launch to 60, 2sec to 100mph, and 7.056sec. total to cover the quarter mile at 192mph...

wow...

 

Sure it is the big bad rail cars pull times like 0-100 in 1 second some amazing g-forces there.

plus you gotta remember we are talking about machines that pull the 1/4mile in 4+ seconds, thats scary fast.

The bikes average something like 6 second times?

SCC puts out some decent articles, definitely the best of any enthusiast car magazine. Grassroots Motorsports is a good read if you're at the book store, but I cancelled my subscription after the year was up.

 

SCC is certainly not the best... they were at one time, I'll give you that.

Did anyone catch that issue of the new Car & Driver import/sportcompact magazine, "BOOST" (heh, mmmmm)? I think they had one spring feeler issue... hopefully more too come. It was really good. Just the right amount of serious BS, serious tuning and culture. No talking about ***** and *** all the time (like the new SCC editing), no interview with **** starts (like Import Tuner) , just cars.

the power to weight ratio is equvalent to a formula 1 car...so yes thats very possible

 

Of course thats possible. Top fuel cars go 0-60 in less than a second. 0-300 in 4 seconds.
