i dont like those years, they are ugly..

i say get evo ix of the same year, put $1000 and now you make 400awhp

in all seriousness, i never like those years, 04-05 then after that even the newer hatches.. or wait for 2011

My buddies had evo's and they felt like they were falling apart. Don't like them. I like 08-09, not sure about 2011.

Blue is nice, but Aspen White is amazing. I vote 05 STi, Aspen White. Plus, you can get any color wheels and they will look nice.

Should I get an 05 or an 06? And, blue or white -.^?

Decisions. Decisions.
First of all, I am biased, so YMMV.

Since you mention an 05 and an 06, clearly YOU need to pick which front end you prefer, not a bunch of forum ****** (the rest of us). As far as changes, the biggest change that should matter to an enthusiast is the ECU. The '06 STi has arguably the best ECU of all the GD's. If you plan on dumping it for a stand-alone then it won't matter, but otherwise I feel it is something to consider. Aside from that, it's all about looks. Giant scoop and large headlights, or subtler hood scoop and aircraft fuselage front grill design.

Glad to see someone returning to the Subie family.
