Oil change tool info

Not sure where to post this so mods feel free to move it where it should be.

For those people who have issues getting access to the oil filter because of the headers being to close to it and dont have the proper tool to reach it, this would help out greatly. All you need is this oil filter wrench and a 6inch 3/8 extention and a 3/8 rachet.

Also i'd recommend buying a Fumoto Valve for nice, quick and clean oil changes!

Are you talkin aftermarket headers? I don't use any of these for my stock headers. I just use filter clamps and a wrench haha.

the clamp ones does a better job of removing it due to the fact it squeezes on the filter as you loosen

I guess they are cool to have, but getting a little oil on my hands is the least of my worries. What I really hate is getting the smell of differential fluid on me. Totally smells like cat ****.

the fumoto valve makes draining the oil way easy if your doing a oil change at home you can just stick a hose onto the nipple on the valve to drain oil straight into a bottle. Not only that but you still save 1$ off every oil change buy not having to buy a crush washer everytime. As far as the oil filter wrench goes, ive used it on almost every car i come across so its come in hand alot. and if you have ever tried to remove a brand new oil filter on a brand new car, the filter is like torqued down pretty good.

The items i posted up is just to make things easier for you and is not required in order to do an oil change.

Am I the only one that hand tightens the oil filter? It doesn't leak, doesn't require any tool to take off, and the heat cycling tightens it a tiny bit more just in case as well.

I tighten by hand and loosen by grip device, sometimes the heat cycling really keeps it on!

The first oil change I did on my subie, I wished I had the clamp tool.
That thing was on there TIGHT!

I did the screwdriver and it was super messy.
I also put on the Fumoto, especially useful now I live in a condo. Flow is slow, but it's so painless I can do other stuff at the same time.

A Fumoto drain valve would come in handy for my cross-threaded oil pan.
