Oh yeah! I just got HID

ITs amazing how much brighter they are!

I have the STI JDM headlights on a 02 WRX, The kit (philips ballast w/6000k bulbs) only took me 2 hours to install. Pics will be posted very soon....

I have the JDM RHD lights so the beam cuts at an angle. you can adjust the beam up/ down/ Left/ Right... so the beam is adjusted correctly (to the Japanese spec) it still shines higher to the left. but ,most of the light is projected towards the ground.

Do you not realize how illegal, not to mention incredibly rude, it is to use RHD headlights?

thank you. i would like to say congrats about getting the HIDs because that IS exciting. (and this guy already hates me) but yes, i agree that the RHD JDM headlights are pretty obnoxious. i would know because i have them and i have to aim them so low to the point that they're pretty much pointless in order to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. i will be using LHDs as soon as i can find someone who sells them.

by the way, quok, i didn't knowyou could adjust the beam to the left and right. i assume that's what the other white **** is for? i thought that one was for aiming the high beams. how did you adjust the beams to the left and right?

There are 2 places to adjust the lights. -Outer **** and lower ****. Yes, I did adjust the left and right. Used a drill (DeWalt) with a long philips head to adjust. Very easy and fast. I could go forward-reverse pretty quickly. I would not adjust it my hand (takes forever)

1- The left/ right (outer ****) adjustment can be seen when you pop the hood. It is right on top of the headlight.

2-Up / down (lower ****) adjustment is about 4 inches deep behind the housing. you can't really see it, until you take out the light. I used a 10" long Philips screw driver to adjust the beam.

I got the lights in june 2001- (over 2 years ago)... when I first got my car, I did not know subaru even made a JDM LHD lights. FYI. My WRX has 65K miles and nobody has complained or highbeam blinked me from the oposite direction.

The LHD lights are not JDM. They're EDM (European Domestic Market). Maybe not as "cool" as JDM headlights, but they'll work MUCH better

That's why I put it in quotes! It implied sarcasm Both sets look badass, it's just that one is better suited to our LHDriving.

yeah, the JDM and EDM lights are exactly the same except for the fact that the EDM's have their light shining up on the right side. i have them on my car and they work so much better than stock. when aimed properley, you can see road signs like a third of a mile away.
