Car Info: baby blue TRICK STAR on pink TUFF II's (MIA) =(
Some stuff I came across today.....brought back A LOT of good memories. Mine wasn't GOLD, but it was just as purdy. It's long gone though. That's life.........(I guess)
Anyways, here's what should be the HOLY GRAIL of all OG freestyle peeps, especially Trick Star fans.....Woody Itson on one of the very few G
LD plated Trick Stars ever made!?

article on it here:

lots of cool reading, info, & pics on Hutch bikes at this site:
www.hutch-bikes.com/hutch_history.htm
EDIT:
Looking at that pic of Woody on the GOLD Trick Star, I just noticed his riding gear matches the Trick Star I built.....baby blue frame+fork, chrome bars+FLIGHT cranks+other small parts, white tires+brakes/+seat, & pink SKYWAY Tuff II's+ wht/pink ODI Mushroom II grips.........weird just realizing the coincidence.....don't recall building it to match Woody's gear. Baby blue has just always been one of my favorite colors & I threw the white+pink+chrome bits in for contrast (pink was pretty hot back then though....80's preppy days)

The VERY few occasions I come across one available, they're asking crazy amounts though.....in the end, it wouldn't be the same anyways. I spent a lot of my own $$$$, sweat, & time into building my old bike back in the day.....I literally had close to $1000 into it, which was a lot for a 15-16 year old back then. I LOVED that thing!

so, no, I don't ride anymore, but I still have the scars on my shins from those HUTCH Bearclaws + Shimano SX pedal (switched to those so I wouldn't have to amputate my leg from the Bearclaw abuse)

Dave Mirra has a gold bike like that. I saw him on some x-games thing and he ate it big time.
I used to have a GT pro series bike. That **** was bank and my mom was pissed when it got stolen.

I had that BMX Plus! that article was in.
I was a member of the AFA.
I had a T-shirt that I wore all the time. BMX bike history: I had a Tuffy, then a Torker II, then a Mongoose FS-1, then the Haro.
I just saw my 1987 Haro Master at my parents house this weekend. Red, chrome and black. I want to sell it. Need to be slightly restored, though.

i did hear about Mirra riding a gold bike during the recent X-games but haven't seen any footage of the games or bike yet. Anyone got a pic??
And View Askew, GT's were cool too. A couple of my buddies had Performer freestyle bikes and I got to see Eddie Fiola waaaaaaay back in the day at a Knott's Berry Farm show. Scotty Freeman--Skyway and some other dudes I forget were in it too. Supposedly, it was the first public show that Fiola did a 540 in, so it was cool.
and, Marc, I knew you'd dig this trip down memory lane too.......most of these youngsters weren't even riding Big Wheels yet during those days!
Oh, and PM'ing you about your Haro!
