I heard this on 95.7 The Game yesterday and forgot to put it up.
One of the guys (I think it might have been Bill Romanowski) suggested that the 49ers do a trade with the Colts to move up to get the 1st pick in the draft so they can draft Andrew Luck. His suggestion for the trade was this: Patrick Willis, Aldon Smith & a 1st Round Pick.
I personally think it would be giving away far too much and I would hate to see either guy go. If we had to give up Willis & a 1st to get the pick then maybe, but I can't see giving away both of those guys plus a 1st.

A strong defense can win you a Superbowl, or give you a shot. IE. Ravens /w Dilfer as QB.
A good QB won't win you a Superbowl, Tom Brady and Brees knows that.

Personally I think we're fine with Smitty. If this is the change he can make in a single year under new management, Id love to see what happens next year.
I also havent completely counted us out in the playoffs.

So stoked for Jan. 14. Season tickets have paid off! I am hoping for a good game and a niners victory with a GB loss. Then we get the NFC Championship in SF.

Lol tuned into the Gary Radnich show this morning and they were talking about people calling Harbaugh a coward and a weenie for that fake fg play where Akers threw a td pass to Crabtree.
I wasnt even thinking about what would happen if GB somehow lost. That would be Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!!!

Anything can happen. People weren't giving the niners more than 8 wins.

Detroit, although it sounds silly, can definitely air it out with New Orleans and Green Bay! It's possible. Then we can whoop Detroit in SF in the Championship game! HAHA!
