Better late than never...
Nation post up!
This year pluses: Good draft! Moore and Jones will be great in our future. Looks like Ford should have his blow out year, DHB looks to be much better on not dropping passes, and was clutch in Game 1. Campbell is playing much better, albeit, a bit conservative. DMC and Bush are running better than ever, esp DMC. Our DL is beastly.
This years minuses: Aso is gone, so our CBs suck, but at least our safeties are pretty good. We aren't passing the ball enough, we got way way too many penalties in game one, nearly cost us the game.
But it's a Win. Need to clean up the play, and find a way to cover better. Thoughts on the year?
I think we can go 9-7 or 10-6 this season, win the AFC West, and have a playoff spot. But that's about it. Not enough defense overall and offense in passing to get much farther than a first round, but getting to that would be very nice progress.

The team has talent on the roster, hopefully they can build on their success from last season, but 2 of their top playmakers are both gone so it may be difficult for people to step in and fill those shoes (with both Asomugha & Miller leaving), but we'll see.

I think the only bad thing going in to this year compared to last was the loss of Aso. Everything else I think is a plus. Well loosing Miller sucked too.
O Line seemed to be playing pretty good. Campbell looked pretty good until the rain kicked up but that's what rain does. Running game looked like it should. Good. Real good.
Wideouts played better than I expected. I'd like to see them stretch with Ford more. With the running game busting off huge chunks on first down you gotta at least try one PA bomb to ford.
D Line is solid and more importantly... deep. We'll see how the secondary does when they're tested.
I wouldn't be surprised if they sweep the division again but I think they'll probably loose twice. I think 10-6 is totally doable right now.
The worries I have are Al Davis stepping on his coach down the stretch like he loves to do and penalties. You can not have 31 penalties every game and expect to win. Denver sucks. We got lucky. I think the penalties will be addressed. First few games you expect some of the stupid penalties... the attitude ones.... raider norm. Even though I felt like a few where weak. Like Denver guys would push raiders in the back and no penalty then the raider gets it. But that's also normal. The Raiders need to realize that they are gonna get called on EVERYTHING.

I didn't want to start this year's thread because I didn't want to jinx the 1 game winning streak.
If they lose to Buffalo this week I blame Gagan.

Buffalo is not Denver, Raiders need to bring a much stronger game against the Bills. I think they can do it, mainly because they will shut down their run, but I'm worried cause, well, Fitzpatrick can throw.
If we can over come that, we can beat a lot of teams on the schedule. I think the Bills will be real test #1. A team with big time passing threat. Denver was able to pass all over us, but the front D wore them down.
