seem a little low?

Normally get 17 driving mostly city.

Consumption at 80 is way more than 70 is way more than 60. Just the way it is.

I got 29 once driving through Oregon at the speed limit. Now I seem to average around 18.... on E85

Also an economy map doesn't really do anything if you are already driving like you're trying to conserve gas. It's really just turning down the boost.

I do a fair amount of city driving. I get about 18mpg on an average tank. ~24mpg on a cruise-control ride to LA, which is just enough to get me from Sunnyvale to LA, about 340 miles, on one tank. Just for reference, this is my first manual car and my first turbo, I've had it about 6 months so I still get excited when I hear that whistling spool and tend to move a little quick.

OP; how fresh is your diff fluid? Tire pressures up to spec? Running wide/herrafrush meats? That 22mpg seems low if it was a highway cruise, altho 80mph would have you above 3k rpm and right where boost may be kicking in.
How do you never see below 24mpg... My diff fluid is at 28,000. Waiting for my 30k mile service. I put my tire pressure above spec for the long drive from SF to LA on stock rims and tires. Yea, my rpm was from 2800 ~ 3200 on I-5 so that might have done it.

What rpm do you guys shift at normally?

I usually average around 24mpg on my commute (mostly highway). This past weekend I hit 26mpg on my trip to SD cruising as fast as 85 when the roads were clear. On my factory RE92s and stock map I got almost 29mpg going just as fast on trips to SoCal. Now I'm on 225 wide tires running an EQ Tuning Stage 1 Base Map.
