Andrew Baggarly reports that Zito is "To Be Announced" for Sunday's game. He's not injured. Rumor has it they may bring up Eric Surkamp to pitch. JSanchez wouldn't be considered because he won't be fully rested.

^ I'd take Kendrick over Zito any day. Even if Kendrick doesn't do so well as a starter, he can always be used as a relief pitcher since he's a sinker ball pitcher. Zito, he's terrible as both a starter and reliever.

 

They also sent Burriss down. Glad Belt's staying in the mix as I think he's going to help us a lot long term.

True, Kendrick kept the Phillies in the game, the offense just couldn't beat the kryptonite that Timmy has. But he's supposed to be the long term reliever, as soon as Oswalt gets his back fixed and returns, he'll go back to the pen.
