Zito has been pitching well BUT he still has to do ALOT more to win the fans over. 3 well pitched games doesnt equal $126 million dollars. your thoughts?
Can't fault Zito for the Giants giving him that fat contract.
Yes Zito has pitched badly throughout his years as a Giant, but he also had the lowest run support out of the Giants last year. This year it's happening to Bumgarner. Zito's also had to endure months of minor league baseball and endless amounts of criticism, while at the same time, has stayed classy and has never complained once. So I respect him for that.
As for tonight's game, rumor has it Giants are trying to acquire Carlos Beltran through trades for a one year rental. It all depends how much the Giants are willing to give up.
Man, I hope Vogelsong doesn't go into that same confidence problem Shawn Estes had awhile back when he made it into the ASG. Anybody remember Estes? He was pitching great till he was put into the ASG, didn't go so well, and then it went all downhill from there.
Voges was throwing darts for strikes since he made the team, then all of a sudden he gets selected as an AS and now he's starting to have accuracy problems. He's still pitching ok, I just hope he gets his confidence back 100%.
