Had my first draft tonight. I got lucky to get first pick of the draft.

8 team league. I just threw the league together with some Facebook friends. I think I drafted well. But then, every time I think that, I end up sucking and holding up the cellar.

QB - Drew Brees
WR - Roddy White
WR - Anquan Boldin
RB - Arian Foster (says he should be back by opening day)
RB - Peyton Hillis
TE - Antonio Gates
W/R/T - Felix Jones

B - Mike Williams (WR)
B - BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RB)
B - Eli Manning (QB)
B - Jeremy Maclin (WR)
B - Dustin Keller (TE)
B - Ryan Torain (RB)

K - Josh Brown

Def - Chicago Bears

K- Kaeding

Def - Philly

I started a league for me and my buddies. Yahoo generic. If you guys want in let me know. Only at 4 guys I think so far.

Just drafted for my other league. I need to make some roster adjustments. I lagged on a pick and it auto picked Kolb for me. Woot! LOL> And some how I ended up with T.O. WTF?

QB's: Schaub, E. Manning
WR's: Roddy White, Greg Jennings, Wes Welker, Sidney Rice, Davone Bess
RB's: McCoy, Hillis, Ronnie Brown, Danny Woodhead
TE: Vernon Davis
K: Josh Brown
Def: Detroit, NY

Looks like me and fluke have similar taste in players. LOL! I need to do something about my RB situation. I'm gonna be hurting on bye weeks. Gonna go dump a couple players now and try to figure something out.

I'm going to let Yahoo autodraft me with their own pre-rankings and I'll figure it all out later. I've been fairly successful in fantasy football, so I figured I needed a new challenge.

If any of you guys want in on the league I started let me know... it's only at 4 guys and I'll probably cap it at 10 if not 8 just to keep it super competitive. I find 8-10 to be the most fun. And please... if you're gonna abandon ship after you loose a couple games don't bother. Frustrates the hell out of me. Last year we did an i-club league and half way through the season there were like 4 or 5 of us actually managing the teams.

Draft is 12:15 the wed before the first game of the year. I figured that would give everyone the most time to not get caught by a preseason injury.

Man I was just looking at my team and I have the potential to be STACKED at WR. LOL. If welker returns to pre-injury numbers that's 100 catches right there. Same for Sidney. He's likely to be around 90 catches 1350 yards and 10 TD's. White and Jennings are top 5 guys if they stay healthy all year and Bess was a sleeper. Dude could easily have 85 catches this year for 1300 and 8 TD's.

QB's will be fine. Manning isn't gonna be number one but he's consistent and Schaub is pretty solid. Neither guy is gonna go nuts and win a week single handed like Vick or Rodgers would.

Defense is solid. TE is solid if he stays healthy. Injured and I'm screwed.

RB I'm fine if McCoy repeats last year and Hillis improves on last year like I think he will. If McCoy gets hurt I've got Brown. I just hope Brown doesn't steal to many TD's from McCoy. I shouldn't need Woodhead at the W/R slot because of my WR group but he'll score a few for me on the bye week fill.

i would definitely be surprised if sidney rice had 1300 receiving yards and 8 tugs seeing as how sid is in seattle now and tavaris jackson is their starter, who is pretty much unproven at qb. repeating his '09 season will probably be tougher than you might think.. coming off an injury ridden '10 and not to mention he had great chemistry with favre (sid was his favorite target). still could be a great pick up, though.

just drafted my third and final team last night. 12 team league...

QB: Vick
RB: Mendenhall
RB: Blount
FLEX: Benson
WR: M. Wallace
WR: M. Williams (Tampa Bay)
TE: Z. Miller (Seattle)
D: Packers
K: Vinatieri

now here is where it gets interesting... for some reason in this league, people stopped drafting WR early, so my bench is looking pretty good

B: B. Marshall (WR)
B: Boldin (WR)
B: Stafford (QB)
B: J. Graham (TE)
B: D. Thomas (RB)
B: Knox (WR)
B: Rams D

Nice.

My side league is only at 5 people so if you want in, it should be fun. Right now we'd only be running 6 guys and rosters would include 2 def and 2 QB's. Scoring bananza. Should be a fun experiment. The other league I'm in is at 10 or 12. Can't remember.

I'll either cap it at 6 or try to get 8. Link is above.

As for rice. I'm hoping that he's healed up and since he'll be the main target he'll get plenty of targets. I think his catches will be up. The only thing that might be down might be yardage because he probably won't get as many bombs thrown at him.

8 team league at work and we did autodraft since we could not set up a time everyone could do

QB Romo
RB Rice
RB McCoy
WR Wallace(PIT)
WR Bryant(DAL)
WR Colston
TE Clark
K Seabas
DEF Pit

Bench
Julio Jones
Aj Green
Hernandez(NE)
Bradshaw
Freeman

I'm going pick up two players on waivers since i waived the extra def and k the autopick gives you. And i'm going start Jones and freeman over Romo and Bryant because DAL plays the NYJ.... and i might try to get another running back since rice paces PIT. I might satrt Hernandez too if manning is out since NE faces MIA

are there waivers in your league and the one you have shows 1 QB and 1 Def starting. Is that going change?

My 2nd team (Non-PPR League).

QB's - Matt Ryan, Sam Bradford
WR's - Calvin Johnson, Vincent Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Plaxico Burress
RB's - Jamaal Charles, LeGarrette Blount, Tim Hightower, Knowshon Moreno, Ben Tate
TE - Jason Witten
K - Rob Bironas
Def - San Diego

This league is setup as 1 QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 WR/TE Flex, 1 WR/RB Flex, 1 K, 1 Def. So I could play Witten or leave him on the bench every week, but now I don't need to worry about picking up a TE when Witten's on his Bye week as I can just put in a WR in that slot if I would have been using Witten anyways.

Yeah right now it's set up just generic.

Been talking with my buddy that I play with every year and Justin (Bluwrxwagon) to figure out how we want the settings. I want to make it super competitive and fun.

1 QB and 1 DEF will change before the draft if it stays at its current size. Waiver wise... I don't care either way. I get annoyed by them but it is a nice way to level the field for people that can't get instant internet access.

Which would you prefer?

I'll probably change up setting tomorrow morning.

Never played in a league set up that way TE/WR. Interesting.

I don't have much reference, was just looking through who I'd like to draft. But yea, competitive would be fun.
