I never got drunk from it obviously, but I was given beer at age 5, This might be outrageous here in the USA, but in Germany it's totally acceptable and no one even thinks twice about it.

When my mom gave birth to me, the doctor told her to drink a 12oz beer to help with breast feeding. I'm not kidding at all, that's what he prescribed to her for breast feeding. Good old Germans!

In case you've never been to Germany, it's more expensive to buy a bottle of water than it is to buy a bottle of beer. Think about that for a second... *head explodes*
And they dedicate a whole month to beer...

Oktoberfest!

Seriously though... Anyone having any large Oktoberfest parties (where everyone is invited)? I'd love to finally head out to an Oktoberfest celebration... I've missed the real Oktoberfest for the past few years consecutively and I miss it... I know a backyard Oktoberfest party isn't anything like the real thing, but they are fun as hell none the less. BBQ brats, sour kraut, big pretzels, tons of beer, and most importantly, a motel/hotel near by so you can crash out after partying hard so that you dont have to worry about driving.

I'm tempted to throw a party at my house, but would rather go somewhere else to party there because I hate cleaning up after large parties and I dont think my wife woudl appreciate it, lol. I know DB had an Oktoberfest party last year... Who's doing it this year?

I summon my fellow beer fanatics, especially those who love bratwurst, sour kraut, pretzels+mustard, and all other things that are German! Let us UNTIE!!!!!!
