O.K. !

My 7 year old has been asking if he can come to the Fairfield B&N meet (he use to accompany me to the UCKK meets 3 years ago) , and my 4 year old wants to do anything that his older brother does

WELL, if anyone thinks that we wont have more bbq's then thats fine. if its up to me there will defiantly be more, but if you don't think it will be fun, then you don't have to come, otherwise you can enjoy my presence like everyone else.

Roo, you're crazy if you think there won't be another Fairfield BBQ and Drive. I am assuming that's what you ment with "There will never again be another one of these." However you may have meant Jon's last BBQ and Drive like you said a sentence later, which is correct. There will be plenty more and they will continue to grow in size, success, and reputation. However, and unfortunately Jon will be back in Ohio probably throwing another legendary set of Subaru BBQ and Drive's/Organizing Track Days.

The FFBN Crew will carry on our BBQ and Drive as long as we have our FFBN meets and they will only continue to get bigger and better.

I disagree with both of you and I am pretty sure that Jon would be disappointed if none of us from the FFBN Crew stepped up to carry on the BBQ and Drive to the same/higher standard that he has.

I am sure Jon would be disappointed if at least one of us couldn't fill his shoes and show him that we've been paying attention to how he runs things and gets them pulled off nearly flawlessly. Some one from our FFBN Crew will step up

The Fairfield BBQ and Drive will to continue to be successful and just as complex with more fun things like the Rock Wall at each one. We know how to throw meets in Fairfield and you've got plenty more bad *** Fairfield BBQ and Drives coming.

ok well I still stand by what I said but I just didn't finish what I meant by my remark which was.... there wont be one like this ever again because jon won't be there. From here on out we will continue to have these great drives, bbq's and fun activities and it will continue to get bigger and better however certain things will be different like for example in a group I feel like there should be a
2nd leader in a group so for example if there was another accident the first leader and everyone who wishes to stay with the person in the accident can stay and for those that wish to continue will follow the 2nd leader in that type of situation. I dunno just throwing stuff out. hahah

I know that you guys will contune to have drives and hope they are very sucessfull. Who ever picks up the next one will bring some thing different to the table I am sure of it. And if that person has questions I will be happy to anwser them.

Yeah you know you could have said that like I don't know FOUR BBq's ago! I am giving you a hard time. But see that is what I mean by some one will bring some thing different. I should have thought of that but it takes ideas from everyone to improve on this little by little. I think ray that is a great idea. And who ever runs the next BBq will have to give that a try.

I'm excited to see some more pictures. I will have the numbers up tonight with the first post update.

I think my comments have been taken the wrong way.

What I mean is that Jon built this event from scratch, and that it's his baby. His organization of this event built up and led to its success, and got the attention of people from all over. His "finale" event is even being submitted to Subiesport magazine, and we hope it's published to gain even more attention in the Subaru community. Everyone who has posted in here saying, "Oh, I'll make it to the next one" just kind of irritates me a bit, as it looks to me like they are minimizing the hard work and achievement that Jon had with this event. It looks like they didn't understand that this was the last one for Jon...maybe I'm just reading it wrong, but to me, this particular chapter is closed in the book...

...and we know this event will go on, but it will begin a new chapter in a very successful event, and mark the coming of a new organizer. I wish the new organizer, whoever he or she is, great success in this event, and will be willing to help out in whatever way I can, be it continuing to supply the BBQ stuff, or cooking, etc.

Am I saying that there won't be another BBQ?? No. I am, however saying that whoever picks up the event idea and runs with it will probably bring their own twist, their own ideas, and their own flavor to the event.
