anyone here in SF down to watch the Spain v Chile game in a bit?

 

I'm about to watch it right now ... in Beijing gotta burn the midnight oil tho, it's 2 am here.

also, the Brazil vs Portugal was sooo boring.

I know I said I was rooting for Ghana because they are a poor African nation (see: underdog) and as much as I want them to win, I can't NOT root for the USA, now that we're actually playing Ghana, I have to root for the USA! I'm really excited that we're going into the knock out rounds... The USA coach keeps mentioning how the US team is better suited for knockout games rather than the early stages of the cup.

The USA really should win this next game... We're ranked above them (what is it, like USA 14th and Ghana is 34th? Something like that), and have the edge over Ghana, but those stats don't really mean anything as we've seen in this cup thus far, so it could go either way I guess... If Ghana does win, I'll be rooting for them to go all the way through, and if the USA wins, I'll be rooting for them. I'm still rooting for Germany since I was born and raised there, but I have the USA as my first team and Germany and Ghana as my seconds... I think I'd rather see Ghana win instead of Germany, it would be a huge deal for Ghana to win (African country) and for all we know, they could take it all the way!


What do you guys think? Who are you rooting for? Early predictions? Who will take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd? Who do you HOPE gets 1-3rd?

 

Yea let's get the knockout games ready. I am rooting for USA, Mexico, Spain, but think its going to be Argentina, Holland, and Brazil the top 3.

So depressing...USA definitely didn't bring their A game.

 

OMG what happened to U.S.A? They didn't play well at all, they where really floppy and losing ***** easily.

 

Couldn't keep the ball. Mids were weak today. He shouldn't have started Clark.
Oh well, good run. At least we got farther than Italy and France. We should be a better and younger team come 2014.
