The Offical BAM 9 Venue Schedule.

Listed below is the official schedule of the annual Bay Area Meet #9.

On August 9th, 2009 at beautiful Stafford Lake in Novato California, the following events will take place:

11:30am - The event officially starts, please be sure to sign in at the front desk and get your event bracelet so that you can get food and drinks. (Bracelet allows staff members to recognize the fact that you have registered and paid and will allow you to have free reign at the food and drinks, as well as all the events) At this time we will have a DJ playing music and it's a good time to mingle, look at cars, and get settled into the area.

12:30 - Snacks will be served along with cold drinks. Snacks will be served before the main courses are, so don't fill up on finger foods before we serve the real stuff. At this time we'll have some basic announcements about the cook off, car show, and etc. The car show will start and you'll have your chance to look at the cars competing for the 1st place prize, and we'll ask for you to cast your vote for the winner. A.V.E will be in charge of the car show and he will announce how/where to vote for your fav car. We'll start the official cook off shortly after announcements.

12:45 - The BAM Garlic+Chicken cook off will begin! For those of you competing, be sure to bring your own ingredients, and please reference the main cook off thread for further info.

1:30 Food is SERVED! Although the cooks will start cooking well before 1:30, the food will be served to everyone. We'll announce how the lines will work, so don't worry for now, we'll tell you everything you need to know over the mic at the event. We'll have the following food items: Tri-tip, Chicken, burgers, gourmet sausages, vegiburgers, as well as a large variety of sides to go with the main courses. We'll also have unlimited drinks for everyone, anything from canned soda to bottled water.

2:15 - Once everyone has their food, we'll start the regular raffle in the main cooking area, so make sure you're there to claim your prize, otherwise we'll move on to the next ticket.

2:45 - Car show and cook off results will be announced

3:00 - The GRAND PRIZE raffle will be held, the grand prizes are a Cobb Access Port (Thanks GST) of your choice, and a built boxer motor (thanks DB tuned). If you want to win, I'd suggest being there Winner has to be present to take delivery of the prize. This raffle is separate from the regular raffle due to the magnitude of the prizes being awarded to folks. Tickets for the Mega raffle will be $10 each, the regular raffle (which also has some really kick butt prizes) will be 3 tix for $5. You are more then welcome to participate in both raffles, and remember, the more tickets you buy the better your chances of winning are! All proceeds will go to homeless cats and dogs.

That's the basic breakdown of how the events will happen, the times probably won't be EXACT, but it will give you a good idea as to when things will happen and be presented.

I also highly encourage folks to bring sports equipment so that we can have some friendly games going on. Things like soccer, volleyball, frisbee, and even softball if you guys want. If you want to play something at the event, I'd encourage you to start a thread to get some people interested before the event actually happens because it's a little difficult to organize something like that at the last min on the day of.

Things I'd suggest you bring are: (in no particular order)
1. Cameras! Video and still image, people will greatly appreciate this afterwords! Especially the folks who can't make it!

2. Sun Screen! The sun will be out in full force, and if the past events were any indication, people will get burned, so be careful out there.

3. Good attitude. This event exists so that people can have a good time, so just bring a good attitude and don't be shy... This is your chance to meet all the folks behind those screen names. I will be providing name tags for everyone, so please use them, it makes it so much easier to recognize folks.

4. Cash! Remember that the park charges cash for parking (has nothing to do with me, they charge on their own), and that entry as well as the raffle tix cost money and you can only pay with cash. If you plan on buying raffle tix and feel lucky enough to win an engine, then please bring cash!

Cost of raffle tix:
Traditional Raffle: 3 tix for $5
Mega Raffle (Built motor and access port) are $10 per ticket.

All raffle proceeds will go to two animal charities which help homeless cats and dogs. Every penny counts and will help the animals out greatly!

The event is drawing REALLY close! Only 33 days left until the festivities!!! I'm looking forward to seeing old faces as well as new folks that I haven't had a chance to meet yet!

See you guys on August 9th @ 11:30am

(For those of you that want to help out at the event, please show up early, AT LEAST an hour early! )
