OBDII scanner?

Does anyone around Fremont have a obd scanner I can borrow for a few hours? I can put down a deposit if needed. I am looking to buy a car that has a check engine light on and I want to pull the code to see what is wrong.

I can pull the code, run a few diagnostic tests on the road and troubleshoot it with a reflash if you like. But I'll all the way in Berkeley.
