OBDII code scanner recommendations?

Looking for something under 100 bucks. Also, ones that clear CEL.

Thanks!

And yes I tried searching...

If you have a laptop computer, there are a bunch of interfaces and software that are available. I bought mine from a company called www.obdpros.com. It has a USB interface and can talk to any ODB2 system from 1997 onward. It came with a bunch of software for reading sensors, fault codes, clearing faults etc.

Handheld devices are ok, but the UI isn't as flexible as with a laptop system.

I bought and it's worked for me every time.

Occasionally HF has 20% off coupons, so it's even cheaper. There's cheaper ones that don't tell you what the code means, it just tells you the P#### code and you have to go look it up for a lot cheaper.

I just use the software that came with the interface.

It also came with trila/demo versions of some more powerful packages offering logging, virtual dash-boards etc. depending on how much you wanted to spend.

Overkill?
My friend has one of these for his 04 wagon. It works sketchy with the wagon, and doesn't work on my 07 wrx, although I heard it would work with an update. You will need to buy a serial to usb cable along with it to update it though. Can be a pain in the ***.

Anyone know if there is any software I can use alongside my Tachtrix to read/clear codes? I heard there was, but can't find anything.
