I don't autox much anymore. $30 + membership fees for X3 1minute runs just dosen't seem worth it. It's still fun but track days, HPDE seems like a better bang for the buck. Maybe if SFR didn't require SCCA membership. I usually work weekends so I only made it to 3 events last season.

under 21 is $45 SCCA i read
its was really quite wet. wasn't really any dry spots... till later in the day. but i think it was like 4th run of the day where this blue evo just blitz the track and runs a 42 when everyone was learning the track and doing 50 somethings. later there was this one black wrx wagon that did really well, didn't look all that wonderful... coilovers stoptechs some stickers.
The course was great, open and fast. I think my new tires still need some heat-cycling. Pretty much one of my bad days. Second run had a +1 or 2 in the showcase turn.
It was wet first rungroup into the second, dried-up for the third and some of ours (4th). But started raining a bit on my second and third runs.
Gagan: great job on reg. (specially since most seem to have to get new barcodes and I just zipped through the "with barcode" line!).
Too many rules ? Nah, it's just like any other sanctioned event. Rules are rules. It's part of racing.
Here are some pics I was able to take. The last few pics my buddy took of me on my third run.

Some enjoy that more, but personally, I want to better my driving skills, and the learning curve is much steeper with autoX.
To his or her their own i suppose.

i dont understand track days...hello?! freeway interchanges?! and dont say autocross is just a parking lot cuz the cones and timing dont set up themselves. But i cant talk becasue ive ONLY done autocross, but a track day in an RS? nah
Im really looking forward to Altamont, like a mix between track and autoX technical enough for the NA power to beat the turbos.
