Thanks.. Apparently someone else liked them as well cause some super douche in Santa rosa with a silver Evo viii decided to buy the exact same wheels in the same color. Seeing as there is maybe a half dozen evos with rims in sonoma county I know it's no accident. So now I'll be coating my rims gloss black.. Sucks cause these wheels weren't even imported to the states when I got them and enkei just started bringing them here.

Haven't seen you in a while man. I know we don't offer $5 macho burritos or anything like that, but if you stop by for lunch anytime before 4pm, and you're willing to spend a few more Washingtons than the burrito you can have a lunch special. Think of it as a combo order with a little variety instead of $9-10 for a single entree that's made for 2 (or one very hungry individual, as I am sometimes lol.) Plus you just order it to-go and avoid having to tip a server .

Yeah I noticed they updated their US wheel offerings on their website, and it shows those among some other new wheels. Whatever you do with your set, you'll still make them look better considering your stance, front fenders, and just overall raw appearance with the interior mods (or "de"mods might be more appropriate.) I didn't have a chance to go look at the tire sidewall since I was in a hurry to pick the wife up at the restaurant, but what tire, and what specs are you running on the street/track (or the same for both?)

The wheels are a 18x9.5 +30, with a 15mm spacer up front and tires are a Advan ADO7 in a 285-30-18. Like you said it looks aggressive but in reality it's too much tire for the street. I don't plan to track the car anymore so I'm going to be moving towards making it just a fast street car. Knock some camber out the front(currently at -3.4deg up front), drop the spring rates down a bit and make some real power.

Even at 255/35/18 I am pushing it for the amount of tire needed on our AWD sedans. Only reason I'd like 265's next is so I have a little more protection for the wheels, and also for the fact that a 265 is the proper fitment for a 9.5. I know what you mean about the negative camber since we run the same wheel size (other than my +35 offset w/no spacers). Not even -4deg is going to help me run 285's on a stock-bodied STi lol. Some bolt-on flares or a widebody would help, but are unnecessary due to my lack of financial means to track atm. I am currently more concerned with finding a DD to beat on, and the money to buy all the fuel upgrades to run the GT35 with E-85. What tire and sizing are you thinking of switching to for street duty? The new RE-11, as well as the new Advans are killer options.

Well I'm not completely sure. I like the feel of a 255 on a 9.5, but doubt they will hold the power I'm putting down since it already spins pretty good as is. Kicking around the idea of going back to a 17" wheel.. If I don't I'll go 255.. I'm dropping about 100lb in spring rate all around and going to -1.5 camber up front then it will depend on traction. If that helps solve things a 255 should work. If not. Back to 17's. Only thing I'm sure of though is that the car needs more power. If I'm not tracking it, it at least better be fast. So priority #1 is builing towards something that traps at least mid to high 130's.... Untill I build the block and crank some boost.

I have always liked 17's on our cars anyway (as long as they are wide, ie: 9"+). If I wanted to go for acceleration over handling I probably would have picked a 17x9, maybe a 9.5, and ran the 255-40-17's. The other obvious benefit being the nicer ride with 17's due to being able to run a taller sidewall.

Sorry for the OT.

Back on-topic (again):
That might be Nick. He usually commutes on 101S in the morning, but then again I could be wrong.
