For this being the first big north bay drive in a long time, I honestly am going to have to argue that longer is not better in this case. 3 hours is a nice distanced drive, that is still short enough not to turn away the "less hardcore" drivers. Thats my 2 cents.
Hello everyone.
I would always pick Skaggs, one of the best roads around. That and it’s so close to my house.
It’s been so long since the last time I was on a club drive; I sure hope I can make it.

I voted for the short run simply becuase this is a first real big meet/drive and I think a big drive might frighten off anybody unsure but a short run will be good to get to meet people and stick together for the first time anyways...
There is always next month for the big drive.. Either way I am still going though

it's a tie right mow. 4 to 4.
I love both roads really. So i don't care which way we go. It'll be nice not having to be the leader and the one that has to deal with the problem of crashes, if people are happy and being able to leave early if i want

Okay, I've yet to vote but there's just one thing: If we choose to do the Skaggs Road, we'll have to change the meeting place to Healdsburg and Bear Republic would be out of the questions - because that was gonna be saved for the end. I mean, who wants to start off at a micro-brewery if you can't drink the brew? If we did decide to do this, we could always meet somewhere else (The Starbucks is a good loc, decent places to eat for a quick bite.)
Skaggs
Pros:
AMAZING road
Little congestion
Great photo ops (coast, Sonoma lake, etc.)
Cons:
No Bear Republic
Bit longer, not sure if others are up to it
Time consuming (the photoshoots will take up at least and extra hour, mind you)
Trinity Pass
Pros:
Bear Republic!
Nice twisties...
Cons:
Congestion
Group will more than likely get broken up (stops signs, traffic)
Honestly, I'd love to do the Skaggs Road (I might be able to get a group discount at the Hamburger Ranch too!) but it's really up to what others think...

and if we do the Skaggs route we can still do Bear Republic. it ends right near the Hwy onramp. Instead of stoppingat the Burger Ranch, just drive south 5 minutes. I came up with the route before i realized you had already came up with a place to eat.

id like to do bear republic after the run. Even if we only finnish around 6. I like the idea of talking about highlights and some new routs over pints... oh and i also voted for skaggs. but ether way im going to be stoked to be out driving with a gang of subis.
I work at a restraunt in rutherford, which is at highway 29 and 128. I taked to my manager and I can get us drinks and apps if you guys would like. We would have to be to be done and out by 12pm. if this sounds good let me know.
