This is pretty disgusting - beating an old lady to death for fun. This is not an isolated incident in Oakland. There have been many incidents like this in the past. I’m appalled by it, but not surprised by it. I hope they find the perps, but I’ve lived in this city long enough to know that they probably won’t.

Leave it to Mayor Dellums to act surprised like this sort of thing never could happen in his city in a million years. He hasn’t done squat to clean up the city.

 

Even if she survives her quality of life will be cut very short. I've worked with the elderly and when they are in bed for a week.. it's like being in bed for months to them. Their bodies just can't adjust anymore.
