Exclamation Nor-Cal Radar - Laser Spotted Thread

Lets list out locations of speed traps or heavy enforcement.

Who: CHP, San Jose Pd and so on.
Where: 2 blocks east red rd heading south
What they where using: Laser or Radar
Time of Day: 12am
Radar/Laser Detector go off: Yes

We should be able to post this stuff as its public info and you can get alot of it out of the paper anyways. Also like my second post. Listing if the laser officer was parked with chase units. This can help get out of a ticket since signing officer didnt see proof of speed. Nor can show proof when asked.

I'll start off...

CHP - 2 units
Southbound 680, 1/4 north of sunol exit, sitting rightside of road in dirt turnout
Laser
4:30pm
Laser went off.

-----------------------------------------

CHP - 4 units ( one to shoot others to chase )
Southbound 680 1/2 north of scotts creek rd, Rigthside highway
Laser
4:45pm
Laser went off.

Are you another one of those hypocrites that says slow down, but speeds just the same? Because I'm sure you've never gone over 65 on a normal freeway right?

Seriously, our cars are targeted more than the average car and we get tagged for doing the same thing everyone else is doing. Just the other day, I got paced while I was going 65 (because I saw the cop early) and while this tool in an impala almost rear ended me, and when he tried to pass me, almost rear ended the person next to me (on the left), but the cop didn't even look at him, was too busy pacing me (on the right) to try and get me for something he didn't even notice this impala. If you don't want this information, then stay out of the thread, you don't have to be here.

I for one, think this is a great idea, I always call my friends to tell them if I see any type of CHP or popo if I know they're heading in that general direction.

Thanks for the info 06STi, I hope other people will find this info useful and will add more to it. I'd be adding more to this, but kinda useless for the next month since I'm in So Cal.

amen, this should be a helpful thread. everyone speeds, why not just let people know where cops sit.

ok i always see CHP on highway 4 lasar/radar just coming down the hill before bailey, more towards the bottom of the downhill part. i see one there almost 4-5 times a week.

also, i see cops just past the turn in oakley on highway 4 all the time. they mostly use laser, so be good around there.

also, going west on highway 4 right past railroad ave. there is a hiding spot off to the left, they mainly use radar, but i have been lasered.

Regardless of speeding or not, most people want to know where cops are. Especially since most I-Club members have modded cars. I like to know when to get quiet on my exhaust and roll my front windows down, speeding or not.

I would love for you to tell us you don't ever speed come on now.

and +1 for this thread, it can't hurt.

yep. I'm one of those.

Get a radar detector. If you get caught that sucks, but you've gotta pay to play.

Seriously though other than back roads I just keep with the flow of traffic. Expressways and city streets are crawling with cops no matter where you go. The last thing I want is to get stopped for speeding then have my hood popped and have to go to a smog ref.

Plenty of sports cars are targeted. Especially if your suspension is dumped, tint on all windows and have a loud canister exhaust. Add on a few more points for having an STi wing and any vinyl you have. Oh and if you're asian any white CHP/police officer will surely profile you.

Every one is entitled to their own opinion. If you don't like mine that's tough.

What about when traffic is moving @85?

I agree don't complain if you get busted for speeding as you know its illegal. That being said the traffic laws/speed laws are bull**** and could be safer and allow more mph in the fast lane at least. I think that backroads are much safer for doing some real speeding, wrecking yourself is one thing but endangering others is a whole other ballgame.

One time i got busted in hs for racing on Vasco, cop was just parked in one of those industrial lots. He let us go tho

On topic- are you sure they are shooting laser, i've been getting some laser hits but still haven't identified a cop or plane that is using it.........you sure its a roller using it?

gotta pay to play children, if you wanna speed, know the consequences, and don't get pissed when you are going 1 mph over the posted limit and you get a ticket...

Thing is, you can still get pulled over for going with the flow of traffic as most of the time it's over 65. Of course no one wants to get pulled over and get a smog ref ticket and people should know, more show, means more cop magnet. Which is why my WRX looks stock, 'cept for my EDM headlights.

I am asian, and luckily I've been able to avoid any real hassles. Probably because my car looks stock. I have been targeted multiple times, but I don't complain unless the cop does some dick move (such as the time one tried to cut me off and slam on his brakes because he realized he was on a junction to another freeway and wanted to keep targeting me)

I know we are entitled to our own opinions, and I respect yours, I just don't like it when people tell people not to speed as if they're judging them while they speed themselves.

I think you're getting this thread confused with the one about getting a ticket, I don't see any real complaints about getting a ticket when you are speeding, but just advice on where to pay extra attention for cops. I just get pissed when cops get tunnel vision when they see a sports car.
