They were out of the stock 16-in size, so I got mine off of ebay from "fastlane tires." It worked out fine, and the tires are great. It cost a little more (~$20 total), but still a better price than buying them in a tire shop. The places that sell them (closer to Sac) wanted $150/tire, plus mounting, plus tax.

 

thanks for the tip, flesher. i've been wavering on whether to get these tires or not...i figured they would be out of stock by now.

 

Waukegan might have them back in stock - at the beginning of the month they were supposed to get more in 2 weeks. I just needed mine sooner because when I went up to Tahoe in December during a pretty decent snow it became very obvious that the remaining tread on my RE-92's was unsafe, rather than just marginal like I thought.

 

they get lots of stock in when they get a shipment in.. so i would check with them first

 

I have a set of nokians they are very nice in the snow

Well, took my own initiative and called the dealer, Tom, at waukegan tire. He's willing to do the same deal as last year! Just mention the groupbuy from NASIOC/i-club, and he'll give a quote. The number is in the first post.
