Nice sounding exhaust

Ok, so I've been MIA here. Father hood status. Now I'm looking to put some attention to my 06 WRX with a new exhaust. I want something nice but that wont get me pulled over or set alarms left and right. OK the alarm part I don't mind :-)

I had a JGT500 before but got pulled over in the first 3 weeks. It was pretty loud for me, so I got rid of it.

Any suggestions on what exhaust to get? I want to hear it, but don't want my ears blown from it. I also don't want it to stand out too much. I don't like those huge water mellon barrels.

Thanks ya'll

Get a borla. Probably the the best low key exhaust but still has the suby rumble

I would say Cobb for what you are looking for. The stage 2 power pact is good.

Old Scoobysport (or current Hayward & Scott) and Stromung are have always been the best sounding GD exhausts.

I saw that it didn't matter how loud it really was.

Get a catted downpipe of your choice and a cut fujitsubo catback.... or...

Buy that powergetter turboback with a cusco downpipe dippedinsauce is selling!!!!

Damn. The COBB has a nice deep rumble, but the Borla also sounds nice. I don't want to do a down pipe install. But I can't decide on which one of these two.

Borla hush with stock dp is a little bit too quiet in my opinion, but what do I know I'm running a straight pipe right now haha

I had an hks hipower which sounded great but looks too big/angled

Cobb is a good sounding exhaust but I don't think I've heard one with a stockdp

Go to a meet if you can and hear them in person, video clips only do so much

Agreed in person sounds way different from a video clip

I was just thinking going to a meet would be the best test.

Ive got the cobb catback on right now (took the dp off for smog) it sounds good with just the catback. And does sound similar to the videos.
