New Years Day "Hangover drive" anyone?

I went out 2 years ago by myself, but the weather was miserable and most of the roads I wanted to play on were closed.
Last year Dr Tofu and I had quite a nice little drive up through and around the delta.

I'd like to drag a few folks out this year, not yet sure where, but there's nothing quite like a good 4-5 hour thrashing on twisty backroads to clear out the cobwebs and start the new year.

Any takers?

man... I'd really like to say I'd make this but I doubt I'll be in any shape to drive on Jan 1. Maybe if you plan on starting at 1PM or something

Yeah, even I prefer to start a little later in the day (11-ish probably) and not hammer on stuff as hard as I might on any other drive.

Knowing there's a drive the next day can be a good incentive not to get too terribly sh*t-faced on NYE too.

One of these days you might wind up old like me and realize that getting sh*t-faced isn't really all that much fun anyway....

I usually prefer not to get sh*t-faced but NYE is the national "get sh*t-faced" night so who am I to argue

Don't think I can make it this year, but I can vouch for a fun drive.

Well I'm a definite no go. We found a room in Tahoe so we'll be up there for NYE. Not looking forward to the drive home on the 1st.
