New WRX Owner (S.C)
What's up all, well just got the first thousand on my WRX. First I love the car, just put on some p1's and Falken's, handles great, love the sound of the turbo whine (intoxicating), interiors pretty nice considering my WRX is basically stock (glovebox door is pretty heavy). I live in the Santa Cruz area, hey anybody know of some good backroads to run my WRX. Also wondering what would be the first good performance mod and does anybody have some idea how I can keep the damm cats off my ride!!! (I love animals but not on my car) they **** on my wheels too, (oh yea I already got caught going on safari once). I was wondering if their is a way to get the car to give a quick chirp via it's own horn throughout regular intervals like every 30 mins (the hell with the neighbors) any ideas would be welcomed. Hey are the trannies pretty unrelaible on these cars because now I'm wondering should I go ahead and get the extended warranty. What is the ideal rpm's for shifting during normal driving and for passing but within reason. I dont want to get to crazy as I got a lead foot so I trying my best to drive within reason!

roads to drive
First Stay off of Alpine and Pecadero.... lots of BMW Roadsters, bikes and wet leaves in the corners,
Seriously Alpine can be an intense run (in my roadster anyway) Also Skyline from SC to 92 is pretty good but some CHP.
Just watch out for bikes.
