Beautiful setup. I have to admit a slight jealousy, as the NT-03M's are on my list of wheels I would happily own and run on my STi, but unlike so_steezy I try very hard not to buy more and more sets of wheels (it's not easy!) I like that you chose to run the 40 series, as it makes the wheel/tire setup look extremely meaty. I did this with my very first set of 18's, and other than not knowing what mph I was ACTUALLY travelling at, it was far more comfortable than the 35's I run now . You just don't get the ride height lowering (if that matters to you).

Have to agree with pwnx0rz though and say TAKE THEM OFF until snow season is over. Rain is 'meh', just depends on the streets/roads you will be on. In your area I'd probably avoid all wet weather with that wheel setup, but I suppose with the Star Specs you're fine if you wanted to.

As far as offset goes, that's a good offset, so long as you eventually mount and use a 275 or 285 and make use of the strut clearance that offset gives a Subaru.

Not trying to threadjack, but thanks for this response. I'm looking at upping to a 40 sidewall on some 245's for my wheels to. I want to lower the car to have no wheel gap, but still be able to daily drive and get over speedbumps with my exhaust still attached.

It's just hard to find a set at a good price. My other option is the 255/35

hey all

thanks for the props!

vodka & pwnx0rz - i did take them off the next day. we got an inch of goopy frozen cement the other night, so i swapped right back to the blizaks. for giggles i drove it up the street. *shivers* spooky bad traction.....and i agree with you on the 40 series. although the star specs have a stiffy side wall, they are much more comfy than 35's. and personally i think they look awesome with this wheel combo. not to mention they fit better into the fender under load.

mda, i have meant to call/pm for weeks. no worries, we will hook up soon...

int b - aaron, we MUST hook up sometime soon. i will be down in the Bay more often soon....

off to ski @ squaw!
