I actually think that car is pretty nifty. If they can pull off keeping those cars working for 250k miles every time, the $50,000 price tag could totally be worth it. Also some nice performance for a diesel engine!

I just posted up about those cars in a police thread we had going last week. I think they should do it. Safer for the officers and I think visibility helps keep crime down.

that car is really nifty. really fuctional, especially with the suicide rear doors and and the accomidations that it has for officers, diesel is a plus as well for longevity reasons.
I think they are pretty cool looking. Definitely would help them stand out. Like I said in the other thread though, they look like they should have "To Punish & Enslave" on the side of the car.

you apparently have not read ANYTHING about that car. It was designed BY law enforcement officers FOR law enforcement officers.
It is definitely NOT the same as the current cars.
hmmmm...
suicide doors
radiation and biological threat detection
automatic license plate recognition
hose out rear seating
huge integrated computer system instead of the current clunky set up
360 lights
360 suurveillance
everything is integrated
Integrated push bumpers and PIT capability
etc
etc
etc
etc
not the same.

and yes our soldiers should get better equipment... like humvees with actual armor on them.
Difference though... police are state. military is fed.

I dont think they are ugly... I think they look REALLY mean, especially in the rear view mirror!
Only problem is, cops treat their cars like CRAP, crashing them all the time, etc... It'd be expensive to keep these cars in the police line up if they go through them like they do crown vics.
