New mazdaspeed 6?

I saw an add from a dealer for 25.9, you think 23.9 is feasible, before tax/license? or 23?

If that advertisement says that, I'd hop all over it.

Taken from http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/mazd....html?action=1

This is the base model, not the GT version, which is more money.

From what I've read, the MAZDASPEED 6 is nothing close of what it's cracked up to be. Road & Track put it pretty low on their test of AWD sedans.

Definately look at edmunds.com to find out prices since they have something like 3 different calculations that you can get a good price from.

Yup. Its by no means in the same category as the sti/evo, despite being 274hp/awd

Its heavy and has a FWD bias, only switching to 50/50 F/R when traction is limited

Plus the damn clutch is a facking joke!!!!!!!! You can literally push it down with your pinky, what kind of crap is that???? Lol, fun factor is not there either asince it is primarily a fwd car Anyone seen the prototype RX8-Mazdaspeed yet, it is Supercharged with suspension refinements, I think it still sucks though. I am a true fan of the FD3S' 1.3 Turbo > 1.3 S/C > 1.3 N/A

They never said it was.

It's supposed to go against the audi a4 2.0 liter turbo quattro, and the bmw 330xi.

I know, but when it was first released many speculated it to compete with the sti/evo

Id much rather have an 06 WRX than the mazdaspeed6

And yes, its a 2.3L turbo

ive read they perform awesome, and no it was never intended to perform vs. evo sti but be more luxury type ride, they weren't concerned with squeezing every ounce of perf. Anyways its suppose to own the legacy 6>legacy, and for 25???? yea 6spd, sweet car. Ima go drive one today.

not to mention you are tripping about the weight fwd bias, who cares the evo is too in a way and look how great it handles, they said the mazda speed 6 is more nimble and understeers less than the legacy so in my opinion thats pretty ddamn good for 25k, and the clutch is soft but thats better for traffic and daily driving, as long as it holds up (mazda in my opinion has better clutches in their cars relative to wrx i mean its a piece of **** with a companion of a weak tranny).

So i say go drive one before you try and hate on it, and ill do the same

the new mazdas are solid cars and i betcha its a sweet ride.

For 25k id much rather have a 2.5L wrx, legacy, or FXT or spend a tad more and get the evo RS

IF im going to be carrying all the extra drivetrain loss and weight of an awd system, it better be 50/50 or have a rear wheel bias

THis is just my opinion. They look like nice cars and you get a lot for what you pay, but I just wouldn't buy one

EVO IX RS or an FXT hands down over this thing. Besides, don't ever buy a car, the first year of production.

According to road and track, the MAZDASPEED's suspension was very soft and unpredictable and was rated very poorly compaired to the Legacy GT. The Legacy GT was rated 2nd out of the (i think 7 or 8) cars rated with only the Audi leading the pack. The legacy also had better acceleration and I'm pretty sure that the Legacy's luxury factor isn't too shabby vs the MAZDASPEED.
