New garage to take your suby, Mid-Peninsula
If you're sick of having to either cross the bridge to eastbay, northbay, or drive down south, here's another option.
The place is called "The Shop" and it's in San Bruno (think SFO).
I got some tires mounted there and picked them because they were a Tirerack "prefferred installer" and close bye. When I pulled up, there were 4 3rd gen RX7s parked upfront and on the racks. I love the 3rd gen and felt like this place knew what they were doing.
ANyways, I've gone back recently to get an alignment (the owner threw in a discount) and they also took care of an exhaust leak for me (no charge) and helped me out w/ my headlights, which were on the fritz (also no charge). Also, when I requested that the lugs be torqued to 75 lbs, they said they always torque to specs.
They pretty much do all the basic garage stuff, some electronics, plus alignments. No dyno or tuning.
The owner, Matt, seemed cool. I told him about this forum, but since he's been open just a year, they have been pretty busy w/ nissan and mazda. They haven't tried to market to subies yet, but I figure I throw their name here to let the peninsula suby guys know they have another option.
BTW, they didn't ask me to post here. I was just happy to have a place nearby to get some minor stuff done...my wrx is much happier for it.

they have a website : www.theshop-sanbruno.com/
:/ but it wasn't working for me when I just tried it. They are mainly RX7 guys. Two guys with FCs tried to sell me and my friend a ghetto jdm swapped, but clean RS. Other than that, they seemed cool...
