The new Fozzy - not sure I like it.

Subaru acquired the head designer from Alfa Romeo back in 06 and that's when things started to change - that's why the drastic change on the Impreza from 04-05 to 06-07. Not sure if he is even still there, but he was the one who started the brand recognition thing for Subaru.
Then with the new Legacy, they changed the whole design language. Even though I liked it, it was a little too conservative IMO, and honestly not as nice as the previous styling. So when they started pushing to the rest of the line, they tweaked it and it is only half working right now. I like what they started, but not sure where it is going?
Mazda is another one doing it right. Honda is not.

This. To me Fozzies were a mix of wagon and suv hence the swagon but now its just a straight up suv.
