I would suggest using one of the online car sites like Edmunds where you can send out a request to dealers in the area to send you quotes on the car you want, you get the absolute best price this way since all the dealers know you are getting other prices from every other dealer and your just going to take the lowest one. We bought my moms last car this way and got it for invoice. I work for alot of dealerships and have been told directly by a finance person that they know if you step on the showroom to look for cars your not smart enough to have shopped on the net first so they really know they're going to get more from you.

24K is way too much to pay for an 05 when the 06s are just a few months away and they're going to have 2.5 liter motors.

It isn't a bad price, but I'm sure the price gets better when the 2006 WRX comes out.

If you can handle the wait you'll either end up with a bigger motor or a better price on the '05.

But trust me, a 2.0 WRX is still a lot of fun

Yea, I can't wait, just sold my Acclude (h22a Accord) today so I need a car ASAP. You think since I'm paying all up in front I can ask for a better deal or ask them to throw in something like short shifter or extend arm rest?

yeah wasnt saying that to be a 2.0 hater, just stating the fact that at this point in the model year they should be MUCH more flexible with their prices

what dealership was this? Seriously, the WRX kicks *** and you will be happy but that price is too high for a new 05, theres alot of subaru dealers around here, see what another place wants to offer you

But like I said, I called about 4 Dealers and there is practially no more Aspen White Wrx out here =[. I bet if I went with the other colors like silver the price would probably be cheeper...

haha i went thru hell trying to source a white one and thats the only reason i went to stevens creek then...

see those **** hats had a white wrx with no wing (like i wanted) and at the time i was working with livermore subaru and stevens creek wouldnt trade them and told my salesman to tell me to go over there and buy it if i wanted it

so what i did is i called stevens creek up and told them that i had a deal pending for a blah blah blah... and i pilled on the options and told them the 22970 price otd figure (which wasnt true btw ) and stevens creek being the punks they are said if you drive down here well honor that deal

and thats what i did
edgar,

my advise is make them fight for your $ even if its all a lie

I was looking for an 03 in silver when the 04s were out. I had to go to Nevada to get it (living in Arizona at the time). For a 20k+ item, it might be worth checking out socal and oregon.
