Anybody try it on the windshield yet? If it does, I wonder how long the coating will last!!

^It doesn't dry clear. Like a white film. Durability seems to be an issue (I checked out the Rubbermain plungers coated with NeverWet - some were peeling off).

But this would be awesome for hiking in wet weather. I can waterproof all my backpacks!

It is highly not recommended to use on the windshield or any glass because of the dangers of visual impairment. Same thing with Opti-coat 2.0, it is not recommended and strongly advised to not be used on those areas, whether it dries clear or NOT. Theres been a lot of people throwing out that idea, and it is very dangerous because it is not formulated to operate under those conditions. I would just like to clear things up before anyone tries anything dangerous.
