Not if you'd ever driven the real 'Ring. One of the most amazing roads I've ever been on in my life. It isn't like any other track I've ever driven.

This could be an interesting idea, but it's a pretty crappy place to actually do it. I'm not sure how they'd recreate the elevation changes. That part of Nevada isn't exactly the hilliest part of the planet.

"Smith is very confident he can produce an exact replica, and has been talking to both the Governor and the Nevada Bureau of Land Management, who he's hoping will donate 8,000 acres of land for the project. "

whaaat? is he high? and how is he going to reproduce all that lushness in the middle of an effing desert?

I just like tsukuba as I played it all the time on gran turismo and forzas...plus the fastest time on it is just under a minute so quick time attack laps are what I'm after...get to run 6-7 laps in the time of one ring lap

If he wants to build an accurate replica, he should build it in in a area that has seasons, trees, rain, and serves delicious pretzels.

Exactly.

Or.... spend gazillions less, and just make a cool track that is Nevada specific that just happens to have many things that are great about the Nurburgring. This new track does not have to actually BE the layout of the Nurburgring.

So what you're saying is that I could be a four hour drive from the Nürburgring, and then moments from $4.99 lobster and the loosest slots in town? Yes, please.
