What is this crap? If you have nothing to actually contribute to a technical discussion, or you don't have a question to ask, or you didn't find a great way to make fun of someone, don't resort to post whoring.

I've been seeing more and more of this "yeah waht he said" crapola lately. I don't want to have to deal with I-Club drastically changing every 3 months because some lazy *** nitwits are trying up their number of scooby snacks.

lol...It's how half of BAIC actually has any scoobysnacks. I noticed it immediately...I think the SS system is doomed because of crap like that.

"doomed" .. yep. The more people can't just obey at least the very few simple guidelines (not even really rules!) that Alex tries to keep in place, the more actual rules we're going to see. I don't want that sort of forum... if I did I could go to NASIOC. (Oopsy did I bring that up?).

(that "yeah what he said" cracked me up good )

basically I'd have to agree...it's this scooby snack system. I think it's a cool concept but it's also rediculous.

First it was lets give some people avatars but not everyone....then it was lets make people earn avatars...that's just as bad. I mean we had the whole donate your scooby snacks deal. Now it's post ***** in the tech forums crap.

It's just a stupid system. I don't want to sound like an *** cause I do appreciate these forums...but damn dude. I'm a member on many other forums, none of them have systems like this...but the ones that come remotely close...like they have names that change with post counts and what not.......they have post ******.

I understand the concept of trying to get people to participate in more valid discussions and be more beneficial to the forums. but it doesn't work.

Basically it's got to be everyone or no one. Or maybe lower the levels some. A guy like me...it would take me 2 years to get an avatar. One snack per post or some junk like that? What the crap. I post in the tech stuff all the time...so do many others....people see they are so far away even with legit tech forum posts and they resort to whoring. There are a few people with enough snacks and with avatars and what not that don't contribute much and I rarely see anything beyond bull****ting and even some negativity.

Want to solve this problem. Open up avatars for everyone. or take them away from everyone. Simple. Cut this elitist bull crap.

Or base the SS count on word count of the posts? Meaning one sentence replies don't count? Who knows...you're probably right...

I say eliminate them ALL and just put raw post counts. Let the ****** *****, but don't give them anything for it. Eventually they'll get bored.

Er... ok I was NOT trying to ressurect the argument about how much we like SS or not...

I do wish, however, that people could see what Alex is trying to accomplish and respond appreciatively by not pulling stupid crap like "yeah what he said" on the tech forums.

wait a minute... the SS's are intended for people that have contributed in the tech forums. Didn't you get 1/2 of your snacks by burning cd's
