Start at 6am... maybe you will finish 12 hours later!

Tranny is no easy peice of cake...

I'm busy this saturday, or else my n00b self would come by with the moral support (as i've never pulled a tranny out before... alone...)

so far so good. ran into a couple of stubborn nuts and bolts. stripped 3 bolts on the way of unscrewing the nuts off them. and broke 3 socket wrenches. but other than that it was coo.

tomorrow i will be picking up my tranny. and if i am not to tired, and guess sunday will be install day, thats if i am up to it. and if any one wants to help... THEY ARE WELCOME TOO

i wouldn't mind coming by and lending a hand. if nothing else, i can just hold the thing in place while you guys bolt it up.

i have a feeling my 5MT is gonna go the way of the dodo at some point in the near future so I should probably familiarize myself with the process. only problem is that monday and tuesday are my off days.

From under the car, it is a mother focker to get that tranny to slide onto the motor properly! BE CAREFUL...

Gagan, Andy J. and myself have had a hell of a time with these damn transmissions!

Tito at RSR, and Gino at his shop do the whole job for $400...I recommend having it done!

Yeah, seriously... and supid throw out bearing! Just when we thought it was all good, and then you couldn't even get it into gear...

LOL, remember us, pushing your car downt he street, and then jumping in

I was over today, and we got the tranny off, replaced clutches, and got the new tranny at least on the bottom studs when i had to leave.

Any news Pete? I'm free monday morning, just post here or PM me with a time to come over.

yeah andy... from under the car, the tranny is not real friendly. but we got it off, and after an hour and half of trying to mount the new tranny back in, we got it in. and then we got the bolts that connect the tranny to the block all confused, so when it was time to screw in the starter, we had a some lee-way left. then after half an hour we sorted it out. oh then the when it came to put the axle on. the spring pin didnt want to hammer in. we were f*cken so frustrated. then 45 min past, and we just rotated the shaft, then bingo. it fit. f*ck the most simple **** stalls you the most. we finished the night with the drive shaft.

and i wanted to take it to GINO... but im a broke college student who just got laid off. plus i wanted to learn how to do it and now i know how.

Gagan... just give me a call in the morning. i might need a wake up call. i was sore this morning from waking up, and i am dreading when i wake up in the morning. i am going to be very sore. plus i want to get some samco hoses before i put the i/c on. so i want to hit up gino or bozz. i plan on working on the WRX at like 9am. so give me a call when you see fit.
hey... remeber big ted, and semi-big karl. i had to drive then back to milpitas... in my girl's integ. its like a japanese clown car. and a lowered car with them and me is not a smooth ride on 880.

just hit me up
