Try down town walnut creek, Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore, or Blackhawk. Those are real nice high end places with lots of great stores. Make a day out of it, walk around an enjoy the afternoon, catch a movie, grab some dinner.

well if you're going to be in the city and are bored of Pier 39, go to japan town, and if you go farther down you can go to Sea Cliff, there you'll find the remaining of the Sutra Baths (not going to get into the history of it) and there are mild trails that you can walk through there and see the a lot of nice scenes.. and if you go around the mountain you can see the Golden Gate bridge and the back part of the city.
you can go to Twin Peaks in the middle of the city, it has a great panoramic view of the whole city and surroundings.
and late night around 10pm to 4am you can go to Bob's Donuts on Polk street and get some really awesome donuts freshly made and see a lot of random and interesting people, and if you're hungry couple of blocks down there's a place called Grub steak which has some great food.
That's what i got for the city. There's always Telegraph st. and down town Berkeley..

Palace of fine arts, the exploratory, Japanese tea garden in golden gate park, basically across from that is Steinhart Aquarium: California Academy of Sciences, you could make a day out of just hitting up GG park. Then you two can hit up one of the many good eateries that are close by or go to the cliff house at Ocean Pacific beach.

Fort Funston is cool if you have pets too, definitely bring some sandals or shoes you'll walk through sand in, and dress warm! Super pet friendly.

if ure going to do some shopping, go downtown... westfield and bloomingdales, take a walk up to union square, do some ice skating... take a walk through macys and up to top floor and check out the view. maybe even take her in to tiffanys for some window shopping. just let her know that u they mark their stuff up 30% lol and that u can find stuff just as nice at the sf gift center for a better price even GIA/EGL certified stuff. tiffanys has their own diamond grading scale.
