Need some easy extra cash? I'm hiring!

Hi all,

I'm hiring a team of safety specialists for the norcal Uber Office (reporting to me), and I need 1-2 people in the following areas:

San Francisco
San Jose
East Bay
Sacramento
North Bay

All you gotta do is:
1) Take a ride in an Uber in your area
2) Check for 6-8 things to make sure the quality & safety of the vehicle/driver are up to par.
3) Report back on findings

Compensation:
1) free Uber rides
2) $5 per car audited
3) hours flexible

That's it, doesn't get easier than that. Each ride should take about 10-15 mins, so that could be up to $30/hr if you're efficient.

If anyone here is interested, or if you know anyone that is, please contact me at mr@uber.com or you can PM me here as well.

This could also lead to a marketing position if you haz sales skills.

-Mark

Jourdan - yup, take a short trip, check the boxes, make $5, rinse repeat.

MrMAkesitRAin - You get to pick the destination.

sigma_pi - yup. Not much experience necessary, as long as you can check mark boxes on my list you're probably hired. EZ money

As far as growth potential, if you're good at referring drivers, there are incentives available there as well.

Term commitment: Sorry I forgot to add this. This is a contractor position, with no current end date. My best estimate is until at least the end of the year. With these flexible hours, you can do it one week, and be off the next. You'll just get paid for the work you do.

I need to build this team asap, so don't worry about making a pretty resume. Just let me know if you wanna do it and I'll send you more info.

About me: I'm an Operations and Logistics Manager in Uber HQ, specializing in Compliance and safety. It's my job to make sure drivers and riders are safe, and this team will play a huge part in that.

So I presume this results in a 1099 Form at the end of the year?

Out of curiosity, what happens if the driver commits really egregious offense during the fare? Or gets into an accident?

Yes, hiring and payment is done through TargetCW. This isn't an under the table thing.

How do your "mystery shoppers" ensure that they get a different Uber driver every time they request a ride? Would suck if they kept getting the same one or two drivers. No money and no driver oversight with that sort of situation.

You can cancel the ride request if you get the same person. I can help you find areas with a high concentration of drivers to prevent this from happening.

I just confirmed with my legal team that if you are in an accident, worker's comp is covered by the contracting company TargetCW.

On the reporting side, let me know of any incidents and I can investigate further and enforce if necessary.
