I come to BAIC cuz I know most of you and trust you more then I do others.

Here's the deal:

I have a really good looking friend that works in advertising. She likes what she does and everyone is really nice to her except for this one hobag that transfered to my friends office building... The new gal is nice to EVERYONE except for my friend... She actually goes out of her way to make my friend feel like crap... Very condescending, arrogant and just plain out rude. It'd be fine if she did it to everyone, but she ONLY does it to my friend.

The people that work in her office are average looking people, and my friend is very stylish and very good looking and very smart to boot. The gal that transfered over isn't the greatest looking woman. My friend hasn't done anything to her, she's one of the nicest people I know which is why this is bothering her so much. She's always nice to everyone and everyone is nice in return, except for this new chick... She's just a b**** for no good reason, and ONLY to my friend, no one else.

What are your thoughts on this? Why do you think she's like this? You think its jealousy? Remember, she only treats my friend this way, shes nice to everyone else.

She thinks Im just coddling her so I want to get your opinions so I can show her this thread.

Dude, this is easy - there are some girls who hate other girls. It could be for a number of reasons, but I bet the number 1 reason is jealousy. The new girl is jealous of your friend's looks/style/car/boyfriend/whatever.

So, it's either that, OR...

I have begun to notice a new type of girl-on-girl hate - girls who hate girly-girls. These types of girls generally are in some professional industry, i.e. legal, business, etc. They feel that they got to where they are based on hard work, overcoming gender stereotypes, etc. Then, when they see a girl who is in the same or similar position who they think got there based solely on their looks, etc. they get pissed. They think that female professionals have been set back 10yrs because of these girly-girls, in that they'll be taken less seriously, judged solely on looks, etc.

It's crazy, stupid, retarded, whatever, but I swear it's true.

as for your friend. It might have something to do with stories from the other dept? maybe she was the cool girl and now shes not so theres a competition there?
Theres no reason to make someone miserable unless they did something to you in the past and theyre a threat (coming from a girls perspective). Did your friend unknowingly get a position the other girl was up for also? Was she dating a guy the other girl was?

its hard to say in this situation because from the sounds of it youre friend is too nice to ask the other WTF is up? and girls have 100 reasons for being mad at someone that NO ONE but they understand! hahahaha sorry its true... thats why 90% of my friends are guys. more simple

My wife is what you call a float in the medical field. She covers all of the sutter offices in SC county in all med fields. So she's working in different places all the time. There are 2 offices were girls are really territorial and pissy. My wife is super nice to everyone but drama has started in a couple offices where a few people are clearly not wanting her to move in on their work.... do their job better. Etc.



that's all it is. This chick is insecure in her stance at the new place and has some issues.

Tell your friend to shrug it off and continue to be herself and do her job. Eventually this ***** will stop and/or her true self will come out.

That's always the fall back. Shut up and do a good job.

 

the chick that tranfered over is probably just jealous that there is someone better looking than her around. chick are vicious dude. my wife can hella hate on a chick, but thats usually cuz she is a good judge of character and the other chick really is a *****.

But at the same time, unless you say somethign rude to her or act like an asshat. she will go out of her way to be nice to you. the whole kill you with kindness thing.

The chick that tranfered over thats giving your friend a hard time is probably just jealous and needs to get over the fact that yoru friend is and will always be more professional. She should tell that other chick to get the **** over what ever her deal is and there is bigger **** in life than being upset by chicks that are always gonna be hotter than you.

 

Some girls want attention and when they know that there's competition that puts them in second place, they stop respecting each other.

Reminds me of a DUFF, Dumb ugly fat friend. You know the one's that are always around a hot girl. There can only be one hot girl in any group. That's just how it is.

 

Some ppl just are just sour. You can't let ppl like that get to you cause there are quite a few of them out there.

 

i had a co-worker (chick) that was always HELLA rude to me and i couldnt figure a good angle with her for the longest time... till one day i just started to complement here on her cloths or earing ... something. (key in on what she seems to be into and act to have found common ground)

and that seemed to cure and calm the clam down... now our relationship is a total 360 and tho id punch her in the **** if i every saw her outside of work, at work things are peachy!

so what im saying is... find the angle, and work it
