Need to rent a 10-passenger van. Any suggestions?

hi all!

I am needing to rent a 10-passenger van (to fit 10 passengers, obviously) coming Nov 27 - Dec 10 . Are there any companies that you guys know of that have good rental service?

I know there are companies that specialize in renting 10-passenger van for road trips . . Does any of you have prior experience with said companies? Please suggest!

I'm planning to drive from SF to LA , to Las Vegas and back to SF .

Thanks

I know that 10 or more passengers requires a class B license with a passenger endorsement. I suggest you lose a passenger

FYI, for commercial purposes that many passengers would require a different license. I'm not sure how those laws translate to personal use.

I don't think you need a passenger endorsement for a van, unless you are doing it for money, that might make a difference. I rented a 10 passenger van from Enterprise in SF for $600 a week 5-6 years ago.

I want to rent it for personal use only. My family is going to be visiting.

I'll check out on the license and make sure i'll be ok. I'm sure i'll be ok with my regular license tho.

Anyone know any specific companies . .?

also, it will be a total of 10, including me - the driver.

Just make sure you drive it like a bus. These things roll pretty easily when they are full of people and gear. Don't put anything on the roof.

You can drive up to 15 passengers with a Class C license as long as you aren't running a professional bus for kids.

Enterprise has 12-pass vans, but the week of Thanksgiving you are gonna pay out the *** for anything you rent.... not to mention no one is open on Sundays except airports (where the county's will rape you for extra taxes).
My suggestion is to reserve now, and plan on picking up on Saturday the 26th

yeah, I am getting quotes ranging from $1500 - $2000

freaking hell. so expensive.

It seems that no where else besides airports stock 10 passenger vans. I'm trying to see if I can avoid airport fees too..
