60k miles on my wrx, never replaced wiper blades. the oem blades worked just fine up until the day i traded the car in.

36k on my tundra, same story.

70k on my wife's 4-runner, same story...

don't use them dry, and don't use them to wipe things like big bugs or big bird ****s off and they will last forever. the gas station squeegees are for that stuff.

the rubber dries up eventually and cracks then you have lines where the wiper goes across teh glass

Nice to hear you have gotten lots of life out of your wipers. This is unusual on a non-garaged vehicle and has not been my experience over the years and over the cars. Sure, I would live with them and thought they were "fine" as well but then again it doesn't rain a lot here. The point is, these ones have been like brand new, as in, how a brand new car's wipers wipe the windshield, since I got them.

I am not trying to say that the regular wipers you get - even the cheapest ones - won't work or whatever, but I have had better luck with and prefer these non-articulated wipers insofar as the windshield contact, amount of time they last with zero care and etc. I will buy them again.

And yeah - wipers are just that, wipers. Not windshield scrapers - this is common sense. I usually clean my windshield at home, but if I am at a gas station and the squeegee doesn't look like it's been dragged down the street, I will use it.

Note to others that have normal wiper experiences: the regular cheapo wipers will definitely not last "forever" as they are prone to sun damage just like any other rubber, but they can be made to last longer by giving them a wipe with some silicone lubricant (NOT sealer!) and just being sensible about how you use them as was mentioned earlier.

Oh, I was wrong - I have the RainX wipers on my MR2, the R32 had the Bosch ones.

I went from the PIAA's to the Tire Rack Valeo's, and that was a big mistake. The PIAAs kicked *** no matter what, everything from mist to heavy rain, they kept the windshield clear. The Valeo's suck no matter what the condition

If I knew that valve stems were causing a leak in the tire, I'd upgrade. Just like when wipers streak badly, I upgrade to better ones.

If you replace wiper blades every season like I do, then which wiper blade you purchase doesn't really matter as much.

I still have stock wipers at 63,000 miles. I want to replace them now. I got some cracks on wiper blades. Does it matter what size?
Those who got them today or recently, what size did you get for the front wipers?

your auto parts store should have a book for them which will tell you what size / part number depending on what blades you want.

same thing with spark plugs, oil filters, air filters, and most maintenance items.

I have the RainX Latitude blades. I got them when they had the offer for the cleaner kit (Foam glass cleaner, RainX original, and microfiber towel). They perform as advertised, but sometimes there's a streak at the end (or tip) of the driver's side blade (if you look at the 2nd poster's Bosch pic where the circle is that's what I'm talking about). It's weird cause for the most part it wipes away water cleanly, but then all of a sudden a streak at the end happens, then goes away. Note: this is without the application of RainX original glass treatment.

Also, it sucks that u can't get replacement refill blades for them instead of having to buy the whole set again.

Also: if u guys are ordering RainX blades from their website, they sell the wrx passenger blade 1 inch longer than the OE blade. For example if their recommended size is 22/18, it's probably better to order 22/17 although the 18 still fits.

FWIW, 2009 Forester wiper blades are super nice. That's what I'm running on both my '04 FXT and the wifey's '00 RS. Definitely the best blades I've had in as long as I can remember.
