yah I love my swifts, I like how they flatten out the line of the car, and the drop is just right

FWIW, I ran Whiteline Control springs and KYB GR2s on my '93 Legacy Turbo wagon and it was a perfect setup IMHO for a street driven car. I have the KYB GR2s on my wife's '00 RS with stock springs now and it's a good daily driver setup, especially if you like to drive the dirt. I'm running Swifts with OEM struts on the '04 FXT now and it's a very nice setup for DD. When it's time, I'll probably just end up with GR2s on this car as well.

Konis are the way to go. So much better shock then they are priced at.

If you want, you can come over and buy me lunch. It would take about 4 hrs to cut and prep the struts. (Lots of drilling baby lol)

But it's easy. Then, you can install them wherever you like.

Yeah, I've been thinking about doing that for a while, but am afraid of blowing a Koni insert driving on dirt/rallying. I haven't really looked into people rallying with those struts, but replacing a GR2 is cheap cheap cheap.

Crap, I just saw the Koni special.... sucks I can't afford it. Bleh, I'd have to source 04 WRX struts too which would be a pain.

KONI inserts, hands down. $600 at tirerack right now. Been driving on these in WRX strut housings for almost 2 years now, tried RCE Wagon springs, Prodrive STi red springs and now OEM STi springs. I love the stock STi springs, great compromise for our roads here, I wouldn't go any stiffer or lower (maybe the red Prodrives -- about 1/2" lower in the front, rear is the same, 25% stiffer). Install is a piece of cake, if you can use a saw and drill you are golden. Just take your time.

Let me know if you wanna go for a ride in my car. It's a Forester, but should be pretty close.

Nah, bugeye struts are cheap and will work the same. Bodies are the same, shafts and tophats are different -- you won't be using those.
