Need A Little Advice

I was at the SF airport about an hour ago picking up my sister. I parked in the parking lot. As I was moving out of the parking space, I accidently went the opposite way of the Exit sign, but found the booths where you pay the parking fee about 20 yards in front of me to my right. I didn't see a path leading to the booths, but there was a path right in front of me with the Do Not Enter sign. Being the lazy bum that I am, I decided to take the "shortcut" and go through it. There were no cars traveling in the vicinity at the time.

So I approach the booth and the guy looks at me and tells me that there was a Do Not Enter sign. I apologized to him and told him I won't do it again, but he goes on for 2 minutes telling me how there recently was an accident over there (there were no cars there when I entered the path), how this is a high security zone, etc, etc etc. I kept apologizing but he wouldn't hear it. During this time he makes a call to somebody, I'm guessing to take a picture of my license plate and all. He looks at me and points toward the camera that is stationed near the booth (this was when he was talking to me about high security and stuff). So after about 3 minutes have gone by, I was finally allowed to pay my parking fee and leave.

I learned my lesson, but I just want to know what might happen. I'm guessing the obvious penalty will be a ticket (how much do you guess it will be?) mailed to me in a few days. If I do get a ticket, would I be able to fight it easily? The camera that was stationed at the booth is fixed, only to read license plates and possibly the driver that is waiting at the booth. I don't know if there were other cameras that may have recorded me going through the one way path.

Yes I know I was wrong in going through that path, no need to lecture me on that. But any advice on how to get out of this would be appreciated. Thanks.

I dont think you can get a ticket from an airport parking lot, you technically didnt violate a traffic law on public roads, they will probably just arrest you for being a terrorist

what a douchebag

airport security is a F'n joke. In fifty years they've never found one bomb in one bag, they've never stopped a terrorist from hijacking a plane, but they love spending a hour lecturing people about making the wrong turn in the parking lot, real nice job...

You should have just rev'd really loud. "I'm sorry I can't hear you. Here's my $5." And then pepper sprayed him on your way out.

For some reason I'm in a foul mood...

Yah dont get me started on Airport security or those dumb asses who try to control traffic when you pick up someone. In particular, im talking about the morons at SJ airport at the Southwest terminal. I went to pick up my sister and Im parked and this guy comes right up to me and says YOU CAN NOT STOP THERE! By the way, I was not blocking traffic or parked. I was just stopped so my sister can get in. So this pisses me off and I rev it up and move around the car in front of me and park. 2 guys come up to me and say, "Don't be dumb." I look at them and I say," You have a job controlling traffic and you callin me dumb? **** You!" By this time my sister had her bags in the car and I cut out revving through first. So everytime I go back to pick up my sister or my GF I get to see my "friends" again. Each time there are issues. Don't start no shiet and there'll be no shiet!
