Need help with rear bottom strut bolts!!!

I'm trying to take off my rear struts and I have the bottom bolt out but the top camber bolt will not come out. It's just completely stuck and we can't get it out. Any tips to get that last bolt out?

A few light taps with a flat head screwdriver and a mallet should do the trick.

We tried that and it seems completely stuck on there tight and won't budge.

Is it stuck in the middle, or at the threaded end?

You can try jacking up the hub to take the weight off the bolt, and shimmy it out if it's the latter.

That's what were doing now too. We have the hub on a jack and we lifted it up trying to get it out.

The bolt is in there completely. It hasn't even budged from it's original position.

...You've removed the nut, right? lol...

With the nut removed, you should be able to spin the bolt head with a wrench. After that try tapping it.

Yeah we removed the nut completely.

Ok we finally managed to smack it out. It literally took us an hour or so to get it out. For some reason it would not budge whatsoever.

I would have put the nut back on backwards and hit it directly with a mallet. Is it a camber bolt? You may try turning it and tapping on it with a hammer, just don't booger up the threads. You may also try putting a flloor jack under the strut and taking some of the tension off of it and continue tapping with the hammer. I've had them stick different times, but they always come out eventually.

By any chance, when you take off the rear suspension or front.... you have to jack up either the front end or rear..NOT the the driver side or passenger side.. It's either the front end first or the rear end ...

Thanks guys. It took us 8 hours but we just mounted some Bilstein PSS9 coilovers and RCE lowering camber plates. The ride is smooth as silk!

Thanks Luis, I wish we knew about that when we did it. It probably would of made it a lot easier on us.
