I need help on finding that rubber piece that's been squared off. Long story short, mine has a puncture, and it's leaking brake fluid...

That piece is your lower ball joint. It is sold strictly as a complete unit, and the boot is NOT replaceable separately. It has no brake fluid to leak, however it is a sealed lubricant that might be leaking out if it is damaged.

IIRC, the part number you are looking for is 21067GA050.

BTW, Albany Subaru has two of them in stock, as do I...as well as the Subaru dealership in Oakland (1), and Ron Price in South San Francisco, also checking in with one in stock.

You know how much that would run me? That's strange, because I'm loosing brake fluid, and it's because of that puncture on that rubber piece...My brake light would light up, and when I check my brake fluid it would be low.

Something else has to be going on if you're losing break fluid. Check the booster and master cylinder.

Describe the symptoms a bit more and maybe we can help better.

Roo can probably tell you list, but every dealer is free to set their own price.

I reread your post and KNOW something else is going on. The ball joint isn't even connected to the ball joint. Something else is going on. What year/mileage is your car? I'm guessing you might have a master cylinder problem.

hmm, it seems like that's the only thing that's leaking though. I have an 06 with about 10k miles on it.

I think the Pandas might be your problem.

Jack up the car take the wheel off have somebody pump the brakes then hold them down while you look for a leak could be a nick in the line or banjo bolt leaking, torn piston ect
